Where lived experience meets the

world’s leading diabetes conferences

From scientific sessions to global advocacy spaces, #dedoc° connects people with lived and loved experience to the conversations shaping the future of diabetes care.

Lived experience belongs at every table

#dedoc° brings people living with and affected by diabetes into some of the world’s leading scientific conferences, not as an afterthought, but as participants, speakers, collaborators and advocates.

Scientific conferences shape the future of diabetes care. They are where new research is presented, technologies are introduced, guidelines are discussed and decisions begin to take shape.

The people most affected by those decisions belong in those rooms too.

Through the #dedoc° Voices Scholarship Programme, we create access to conferences around the world and make sure lived experience is part of the conversation, from the scientific session to the symposium stage, from the exhibition hall to the conversations happening in between.

Different conferences. One principle

#NothingAboutUsWithoutUs

From diabetes technology and scientific research to paediatric care, global health and policy, each conference brings a different part of the diabetes world together.

Wherever we go, our purpose remains the same: to make sure people with lived and loved experience are part of the conversation.

ATTD

ATTD

Where diabetes technology meets everyday reality

The International Conference on Advanced Technologies & Treatments for Diabetes is one of the most important global meetings for diabetes technology, treatment innovation and emerging research.

For #dedoc° voices, ATTD is an opportunity to engage directly with the technologies that increasingly shape everyday diabetes management, while making sure conversations about innovation also include access, burden, quality of life and the realities of using these technologies beyond a clinical study.

#dedoc° voices participate throughout the conference, connect with the international diabetes community and bring lived experience to the official #dedoc° symposium.

EASD

EASD

Taking diabetes research from the abstract to real life

The Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes brings together thousands of researchers, healthcare professionals, scientists and other stakeholders from the global diabetes community.

#dedoc° voices come to EASD to learn, connect, question and contribute, bringing the realities behind the research into conversations about diabetes treatment, technology, access, psychosocial care and health policy.

Since 2022, the #dedoc° symposium“What we wish you knew and why” has also been part of the official EASD programme, creating a dedicated stage for lived experience.

ISPAD

lived experience brings another layer to the science

The International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes brings together the global community working to improve diabetes care for children, adolescents and young adults.

#dedoc° voices contribute perspectives from young people living with diabetes, adults who grew up with diabetes, parents, families and advocates working in communities around the world.

At ISPAD, from technology and access to school, mental health, transition of care and family life, these perspectives help connect clinical knowledge with what growing up with diabetes actually looks like.

IDF WDC

Where global diabetes priorities meet lived experience

The International Diabetes Federation World Diabetes Congress (IDF WDC) brings together perspectives from across regions, diabetes types, professions and healthcare systems.

For #dedoc°, it is an important space to connect lived experience with global discussions around access, education, advocacy, policy and the future of diabetes care.

At the 2025 World Diabetes Congress in Bangkok, #dedoc° voices joined the international community and took the stage during the official #dedoc° symposium to share community-led perspectives from different parts of the world.

ATTD Asia

ATTD ASIA

Innovation looks different depending on where you live

ATTD Asia brings the conversation around diabetes technology and innovative therapies into the Asian context, recognizing that healthcare systems, access, resources and the realities of living with diabetes can look very different from one country and community to another.

The first ATTD Asia in Singapore opened another important space for #dedoc° voices from across the region and beyond to connect, learn and bring their own perspectives into an international scientific environment.

Because progress in diabetes technology is not only about what is possible. It is also about who can actually access it.
