WHY IDF WDC MATTERS
Diabetes is global, The experience of it is not universal
Where someone lives can shape almost every part of life with diabetes, from access to insulin, technology and healthcare to education, stigma, policy and community support.
The IDF World Diabetes Congress brings together people and perspectives from across the world to discuss these differences and the action needed to improve diabetes care globally.
#dedoc° voices bring lived experience into those conversations, helping make sure global priorities remain connected to the realities people face in their own communities.
2025
bangkok
In 2025, #dedoc° voices joined the IDF World Diabetes Congress in Bangkok, Thailand, connecting advocates from around the world with one of the diabetes community's largest international gatherings.
The congress brought together thousands of participants from more than 165 countries and territories, covering science, diabetes care, education, advocacy and awareness.
For #dedoc° voices, it created an opportunity not only to learn from these global conversations, but to contribute their own experiences and take new knowledge, ideas and connections back to their communities.
2027
singapore
The next IDF Congress will take place in Singapore from 9–12 April 2027, bringing the international diabetes community together again for scientific exchange, advocacy, collaboration and connection.
#dedoc° looks forward to bringing lived experience back into the global conversation in Singapore.

Partners contribute to the #dedoc° voices program because they wish to engage with leading diabetes advocates in a compliant way. They do so through a non-commercial, non-exclusive multi-sponsorship approach to ensure the highest degree of independence, transparency and credibility for the patient voice.
